About the role
Development of backend applications for decentralized digital identity (self-sovereign identity). You will help us build a digital identity solution for millions of users in South Africa. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to open-source and collaborate with other members of a broad digital identity community worldwide.
Our current tech stack:
Rust
AWS, Terraform, Docker
Node.js, React
Hyperledger Indy, Hyperledger Aries
Requirements:
You have experience with backend development
You care about code quality (clean code, automated tests, …).
You are eager to learn new approaches and technologies.
You are able to communicate in English.
You have strong problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
Experience with some of the technologies in our tech stack
Experience maintaining and monitoring backend systems, troubleshooting issues
Basic knowledge and interest in decentralization, peer-to-peer communication, Web3, and blockchain
Experience or interest to work on open-source
