New Directions for Government | Blockchain and the Future of Digital Identity

This webinar will discuss the promise of digital identity solutions, exploring how the public and private sectors can come together to provide world-class digital identity solutions to their constituents, further empowering them with a new set of digital tools and data rights. The third webinar in a series based on Don Tapscott’s “New Directions for Government Report”, this webinar will explore how government digital policy needs to change surrounding nascent technologies like digital identity, to promote innovation and citizen well-being through improved quality of life. Chaired by Don Tapscott in collaboration with the Blockchain Research Institute and Hyperledger, discussion topics will include digital identity solutions, current technology and policy challenges, opportunities for public and private sector leaders, and what a future built on digital identity might look like.

The webinar will feature some of the foremost experts in digital identity, including Brian Behlendorf, Executive Director of Hyperledger, Stephen Curran, Principal at Cloud Compass Computing Inc., and Nathan George, Senior Director of Engineering Protocol at Kiva.
