There is no slowing of media coverage on blockchain technology. It has been touted as revolutionizing the way we manage information, drive honesty and increase transparency in various industries including healthcare. But it is not a silver bullet. This session will weed through the hype and provide a detailed overview of what blockchain is, what it isn’t and how it can be applied to healthcare use cases. The speakers will go through a list of items companies/individuals should ask to see if blockchain is an appropriate solution. Attendees will hear firsthand things they should consider before implementing blockchain, as well as best practices and even discuss alternatives and other solutions.

Here’s how you can participate:
- Collect a stamp at each of the Hyperledger member booths
- After collecting all stamps, return this passport card to the Hyperledger by 4pm Tuesday and Wednesday

Join the Hyperledger Healthcare Working Group
Hyperledger is committed to helping the healthcare industry realize the full potential of blockchain technologies. To this end, Hyperledger formed the Healthcare Working Group with a mission to further education about appropriate applications for blockchain technologies in the healthcare industry. Through positive, open collaboration, the group fosters technical and business-level conversations about fundamental distributed ledger applications and how platforms associated with any healthcare solution utilizing a blockchain back-end could be impacted.
